Staff Bios

Rob Gagnon, MA, LATC, CSCS, MTS

Owner & Master Personal Trainer

Certifications: Licensed/Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Movement Training Specialist, TRX Senior Instructor Trainer

Rob has been in the Sportsmedicine/Fitness professions for the past 20 years. He received his Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training/Sportsmedicine from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH and then went on to receive his Masters Degree in Athletic Training/Sportsmedicine from Western Michigan University. Over the course of his career, Rob has been blessed to work for some amazing facilities: New England Patriots, University of Michigan, Manchester Athletic Club, Pumps Real Fitness for Women and The Works Family Health and Fitness Center. In addition, Rob has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Endicott College, as Consultant for the ProFitness Program out of Toronto Canada and as a Board Member and Past President for the New England Health Racquet and Sports Club Association (NEHRSA). Rob is currently also a Senior Instructor Trainer for the company TRX and travels around the country teaching their Suspension, Sportsmedicine and Functional Training Courses. Working with clients of all ages and fitness levels is something that Rob loves to do. Rob’s specialty is working with individuals who are injured or coming off of an injury/surgery. He also enjoys working with individuals of all fitness levels – from beginners to professional athletes. Rob has been fortunate to work with Salma Hayek, Tim Johnson (Professional Cyclocross Champion-Retired), Matt O’Keefe (Professional Mountain Bike Champion-Retired) and Lyne Bessette-Johnson (Professional Cyclist, Para-Olympic Gold Medalist-Retired).

Drew Guyll, MS, CPT

Co-Owner & Master Personal Trainer

Certification(s): NPTI-CPT, TPI-CGFI

Drew’s background in health and fitness includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Chico or better known as Chico State and a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition from Northeastern University. Additional education that has helped Drew in his career is attending the National Personal Training Institute, where he also had the privilege of being a part of their academic team as a Practical Applications instructor. Also, his experience in personal training has allowed him to work with a diverse population including athletes, veterans, general population, and the Special Olympics. Recreationally, Drew enjoys participating in road races of any distance from 5K’s to half-marathons, Tough Mudders, Spartan Races, swimming, and hiking.

Nick Albert

Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer

Certification(s): Bachelors of Science

Nick is a firm believer that a workout should be fun, but yet still challenging. Nick states, “A key to being successful is improving our weaknesses and maintaining our strengths.” If you’re as passionate about sports as Nick is, you will enjoy his rants about current topics in the sports world!

Amy Chiaravalloti

Group Fitness Instructor

Amy has been teaching group exercise classes for over 13 years now. She is passionate about health and fitness and loves seeing her students improve their strength and endurance from week to week. Amy loves teaching cycling, muscle conditioning, and boot camp. Her classes are high intensity and you’re guaranteed to get your sweat on! When she’s not teaching exercise classes, she is being a mom to her 2 year old son, Kenny. Besides fitness, Amy enjoys shopping, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Laura Choma

Group Fitness Instructor

Laura joined bodyco in 2009 as a client. She immediately fell in love with the concept and vision and became a Fitness Instructor. She teaches because she loves it! She takes great joy leading a class through a workout. Laura always strives to provide a challenging workout while keeping it fresh and new every time.

Gerard Garrett

Group Fitness Instructor &Personal Trainer

Certification(s): Les Mills Bodypump, Mad Dogg Athletics (Spinning), and Keiser Indoor Cycling and Cardio.

Gerard started in the fitness industry working in a gym Pro Shop selling nutritional supplements. After taking Cardio Kickboxing classes, he was inspired into being a group fitness instructor by his class instructor. A few years later, Gerard starting his group fitness journey with Les Mills programs. In 2009, Gerard competed in a Natural Bodybuilding Show in Cape Cod. Up to today, the preparation for that show has been his most difficult and mental challenge. Gerard’s interests include conditioning drills, martial arts, natural bodybuilding, movies, and pop culture.

Tom Jones

Group Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer

Certification(s): National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), TRX Qualified, MMA Conditioning Specialist

Tom’s clients range from those seeking to improve strength, endurance and skill, recovering from an illness or injury, or looking to develop a healthier lifestyle by improving overall fitness level. As a positive side effect of improving their health, those who stick with it, lose weight, increase muscle tone, and decrease body fat. Tom uses a wide variety of training techniques that are primarily determined by his client’s goals and fitness needs. His techniques include functional training, strength training, endurance, agility drills, and circuit training. He uses the latest fitness techniques to achieve the best results in the shortest amount of time.

Jill Silva

Group Fitness Instructor

Certification(s): SCW Group Fitness

Jill has always been into fitness including running, soccer, races, and classes, although she never considered it a job option until she decided a career change was in order and left her job as an Occupational Therapist. She was home with the kids and began working out more and more at her house. Every time Jill did a workout she would think of how it would’ve been a great class, then it hit her – THIS is what she should be doing! Jill obtained her group exercise certification and started running classes out of her home and soon after, gained employment at bodyco! Jill truly enjoyed being creative with class formats and exercise combinations, as one bodyco member joked she “stays up at night thinking of new ways to torture” us. The truth is Jill don’t stay up at night, she wakes up early to do that! “I’m honored to be a bodyco team member and work hard to keep my classes challenging and fun!”

Barbara DiGirolamo

Group Fitness Instructor

Certification(s): NCCPT and Spinning Certified

Barbara began her fitness journey as an outlet to burn off stress and become better fit. After the changes she saw over the following months, and support received from instructors, she became hooked and wanted to help others do the same! She is now a certified Spinning Instructor and NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer. She gets great pride in being able to push clients out of their comfort zone to achieve their goals, while fully supporting them in all aspects of the process! You can often see her training for Spartan races, Tough Mudders, and half marathons. Barbara also has a special passion for childhood injury prevention and works as an Injury Prevention Specialist where she educates local communities on how they can keep their kids safe!

Brit Rand

Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach

Certification(s): Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer (LATC), ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Precision Nutrition Certified Coach (Pn1)

Brit is a 2010 graduate of Northeastern University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. She received her Master’s degree in Sport Management with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania in 2012, holds a Certification in Sports Nutrition from Simmons College, has been an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer since 2007 and is a Precision Nutrition Certified Level 1 Coach.

A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and a licensed and certified athletic trainer in the state of Massachusetts, Brit has been an athletic trainer at a private high school in Massachusetts since the fall of 2010, working with elite high school athletes many of which who have gone on to play athletics at the collegiate and semi-professional level.

Brit’s specialties lie in strength training, especially for beginners, and she loves helping people become healthier and stronger and have them looking, feeling and moving better using every day strategies, science and a little bit of tough love. Brit uses a balanced approach to both fitness and nutrition and believes every person is capable of so much more than they think they are and they’re so much stronger, both mentally and physically, than they know.

She is the founder of BestLifeResults, and publishes daily strength training and nutrition content which was recently featured in Strong Fitness Magazine.



Lauren Pasquale
